PROFESSIONAL CHARGES & CONDITIONS- last updated: July 23, 2007

• The cost of our average small website in 2007 has been $300. You will find that your dollar goes a long way at Northstate Web Design.

• These prices are generalizations please discuss your proposed project or needs with us, to determine actual costs, you may be pleasantly suprised!

• Yes, we can update and fix your existing websites and pages!

• Building and Designing your Website- $35-60/hrly or Negotiated "Plan" (on qualified projects)

• Updates to your existing web pages- $40-60/hrly (Minimum $20) or "Plan"

• CGI / JAVA, Shopping Cart, Special Features, etc- $50-75 /hrly

• We are NOT a big fan of the "Super Glitzie sensibility bombarding websites" and do not provide or fix them.

• Digital Photography- Use your photos or ours by quote.- $10 min.

• Web Space promotion and development- $40-100 /hrly or "Plan"

• Deposits or initial retainer fee are generally required some projects...inquire.

• Some special services will require quote, coordination with 3rd parties, etc. estimates will vary related to the work. This is an estimate only you are responsible for actual price more or less for services provided.

• Special Scripts, software, functions, 3rd party services,etc. will be quoted, We will make an effort to spend your money carefully.

• All charges explained in advance...due on completion or in advance depending on the service provided.

• All Clients must have, disclose and maintain functioning e-mail. It must be capable of receiving attatchements and and access to a computer capable of viewing in-progress pages or files. They must check it frequently and respond to e-mail promptly.

• All Clients or their representatives must have working telephone, with the number provided and able to receive US Government Postal Services, and provide the related mailing address.

• "Plan" refers to some "flat rate", "Simple Pages" and other specific negotiated services.

• Individuals and responsible disciplined groups or agencies/businesses may be clients.

• Groups or Agencies that are Clients must provide a "Primary Liason", and one "Alternate", who are required to keep up-to-date with the communicate the status of the project with eachother.

• Contact from others in relation to a project will be generally refered to to their representatives. This is to insure greatest value for dollar.

• TrinityCam/Northstate Web Services reserves the right to refuse to work with any group or individual that fails to confer or act in a timely manner in anyway to bring the project to completion in judgment of T/NWD.

  This can result in forefiture of all deposits, and approved work, and/or expenditures, without providing a completed work product.

• NWD may allow or require a replacement Primary or Alternate Liason, at T/NWD/approval sole descretion.

• NWD requires disclosure of current mailing address to use in relation to your web project. Timely response to mail is a requirement of the project.

• NWD is not liable or responsible in any way for the actions of webspace providers, registration providers, ISPs, Telephone Companies, or any other services provided by others in the design, maintenance and construction of webpages, websites or digital images or work product, including those referred by us.

• Sample Web Design Contract- Please Review it's content... Not required on small jobs.

Internet Services,etc. are very confusing, and change everyday.. CHECK WITH US!...we are not interested in nickle and diming you to death.. just to make a few bucks providing simple internet services.

Most of our small business customers that want the customary ability for full feature websites with their own domain names, TOTAL CONTROL OF THEIR OWN WEBSITE (password protected)-- pay Northstate or Trinity Web Design about $300-500 the first year for set up, registration, webspace, homepage w/3-5 pages,etc.- THEY ALSO GET...SOME FREE WEB ADVERTISING TOO!... With no changes..the NEXT YEAR, if there are no changes, it is about $ 100-$150 or less.. that covers your webspace and domain registration.

We also provide some other forms of web presence, mostly for specialty, short term or non-traditional advertising, but of genuine value

Your Web Space Related Charges- Minimums- Paying Clients/Customers

• We can have your information on the internet instantly.....starting at $50 set-up/single page "special" and $5-$10 monthly. This can be LINKED to many of Trinity County's Largest & Popular Websites while your website is under construction.

• We can register a second domain, and refer visitors to your existing website or page for 2 YEARS starting at $50,
  

• We can provide excellent web hosting and domain registration through one of the largest and reliable webhosting experts in the country for about $99.00 the first year. We do not charge for the REGISTRATION labor, and associated services if our new client completes their responsibilities during the website design and building process. If the client defaults, or does not complete their obligation during the project, the client will be billed prevailing rate for the otherwise "free" services.

• E-Commerce on your webpages will vary, ask for quote based on your EXACT situation. you may find that a FREE Pay Pal Account will serve your needs.

• Most of the usual and customary web functions and services may likely availiable for your pages/websites. This includes "free" services from 3rd party providers too!.

• It is your presence on the internet, tell us what you want, and we will quote price.

• If any service or product included in a quote provided by 3rd party goes up in price during or after the quote process, the Client will pay any increase in cost.

• Our terms are simple, payment or deposit in advance for our specials all work, some work will be billed incrementally. When payment is received in full, most all of the files created for you are yours. Some items are provided for your use, but not ownership, or resale.

• Failure to pay promptly, may result in cancellation of your project, with partial or no work product provided at judgement of T/NWD. There are NO refunds.

• Yes, there is a minimum payment to do work on your behalf, the prevailing 15/30 minute rate or $10/20 which ever is greater.

• Yes, some conversation is actually provided without charge, and some simple additional items are often provided at no charge in the sole discretion of TWD.

• Your payment for professional services are helping to pay for many FREE Community websites and pages.. Support Northstate Web Design (NWD).

• We design your web pages in person, utilizing e-mail and on the phone.

• Estimates are made carefully, however, the actual cost of your project will reflect actual time spent by TWD and actual charges by 3rd persons.(even if it is less.)

• Deposits are often required, certainly on jobs over $250.

• Usual worktime- Often less than a week can see something simple from idea to web. Or even some more complicated jobs that are using templates, or modifications from existing files. The amount of time required will be based on normal work conditions. If there are internet problems, computer problems, slow response from 3rd parties,etc. it may take longer.

• If you need something in hurry, and if there is time, the price mayl range from regular price to surcharge of 20% (if we are losing alot of sleep.....sometimes there is NO extra charge).

• RESPONSIBILITY- The Client (customer) is ultimately responsible for final inspection and approval of the work. Everytime you approve our work, and we do something with it, it is considered approved. This includes omissions, errors and actual content alike. Naturally, we will work with you to correct any such problems in a professional way.

• There is a $25 charge for any returned check, PLUS any fee that is added by any bank. (this is to pay for our bookeeping, not to make us money)

• Yes, there is a 1.8 % per month interest charge on outstanding balances charged (over net 30 days).

• It is not our goal to nickle and dime you to death.. we want you a happy camper, recommend Northstate Web Design (us) to your friends.

• If you are uncertain about anything, ask, there are NO STUPID QUESTIONS.. If we do not know, we will find out.

• LIABILITY- We are NOT responsible for much of anything.. if the internet is not in service, your ISP, our ISP, Hacking, Electronic Equipment Failure, Sickness, etc. We will do our best to determine what actions are required to restore, move, change, electronic services with you, an secure alternate services as required. We have made carefull selections of our 3rd party providers of services (registration, web space, ISP) we have some back up plans for some clients and ourselves. Your billing and obligations are NOT related to how many hours of the day that your website is functioning, after all this is the internet. In some situations, you may have to pay fees required by new 3rd party providers of service that are replacing existing services. If you do not wish to do that, your present re-occuring services/charges can be billed at a higher rate.
